     He was school teacher on 16 August 1880. He was miner on 13 June 1900. He was amalgamator at quartz mill on 19 April 1910.

    August 9. James F Boyd, well known local resident, was killed in a ship yard accident at Raymond Washington. A telegram to this effect was received today by his widow Mrs. Eliza Boyd. No details concerning the accident have been received.
    Boyd, who came here from Forbestown Butte County in 1903 left several months ago for the north and recently entered shipyard work. He was a native of Canada born November 20, 1856.
    Surviving, in addition to the widow, are the following sons and daughters: Frank F Boyd San Jose; John P Boyd Irvington Cal; William W Boyd in the army recently departed from Camp Lewis; Josiah L Boyd and Miss Lucile M Boyd of Nevada City.
