    MRS. MARY CAMPBELL
    Mrs. Mary Campbell passed away at her home in Evansville on Sunday morning, June 28, 1936 , in her 81st year, after an illness of five weeks.She was predeceased by her husband, Robt. John Campbell, seven years ago and two sons, Isaac and Alexander, dying respectively October 1933 and in August 1934.
    Mary Campbell was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James McGregor. She was born in Toronto, coming to the island when 18 years of age. She lived in Mills township for a short time, where she united in marriage to Robt. Campbell. They lived there for a few years, then moved to Burpee,where they resided until her death, except for the period of time between 1919 and 1926, which was spent in Gore Bay.
    She was a kind and loving mother and always ready with a helping hand.
    She leaves to mourn her loss four daughters. Mrs. C. Burns, Sudbury; Mrs. S. Cooper and Mrs. W . Brown, Powassan; and Mrs. W. Gibson, Evansville; also four sons, Colin, Angus and Clifford of Evansville and Jack of Powassan; also a sister and brother, Ann and Alex McGregor of Evansville.There are forty one grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
    The funeral service took place from her home, on Monday, June 29th.The large gathering and floral tributes showed the high esteem in which Mrs. Campbell was held.
    Service was conducted by the Rev. J. J. Matthias. Interment in Gordon Cemetery. Pallbearers were her four sons, Tom Porter and Henry Bailey.
