    Jonathan Park was born on March 30, 1695 in Newton, Massachusetts to Jonathan Park and Elizabeth Spring. He first married to Sarah Coolidge on April 28, 1720 in Watertown, Massachusetts. Sarah died on March 5, 1721.

    Jonathan remarried to Abigail Smith on October 12, 1721 in Newton, Massachusetts. They moved to Sutton in the 1720s. In 1730, Jonathan purchased 300 acres of land from William Dun for 425 pounds. This piece of land was part of a gran to Richard Dun to Reverend James Allen. It was bounded "westerly by Backquachoag (Blackstone) River, and 200 rods south of Worchester." Jonathan died in Sutton on December 20, 1763.

    Today, an area remains called Park Hill, named after the Park family that lived here. Jonathan's homestead still stands as well, surrounded by syeamore trees.
