Sarah Jane Campbell married Jacob Scott on 1 March 1880 at Gordon.1 Sarah Jane Campbell died on 8 August 1947 at Sault St Marie, Algoma, Ontario, Canada, at age 83.2 She was buried circa 11 August 1947 at Gordon Cemetery, Burpee, Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Canada.3
     As of 1 March 1880,her married name was Scott.

    On August 8th, 1947, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clifford Matheson, 206 Wellington St. E. Soo, Ontario. Mrs. Sarah Jane Scott, in her eighty-fourth year, wife of the late Jacob Scott, formerly of Evansville. The late Mrs. Scott was born in Hanover, Ontario, in 1863, eldest daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Colin Campbell of Evansville, and came to Manitoulin Island at the early age of nine years. She spent most of her life here, until four years ago, when she went to Sault Ste. Marie to live with her daughter.
    Mrs. Scott was of a kind and loving disposition and was highly respected by all who knew her.
    In 1880 she married Jacob Scott, who predeceased her in 1929. One son William was killed overseas in 1919. She is survived by one son, George of Sault Ste. Marie and seven daughters. Mrs. Paquette, (Amelia), Evansville; Mrs. Annie Hurdle, Evansville: Mrs. Ada Addison, Evansville; Mrs. Thomas Witty, (Flora), Gore Bay; Mrs. Jack Robinson,(Alice), Nelson, B.C.; Mrs. Cliff Matheson (Cassie), Sault Ste. Marie; also thirty grandchildren and several great grand children, and two great great grandchildren; also one sister, Mrs. Barbara Burns of Winnipeg and one brother Colin Campbell of Evansville.
    A short funeral service was held from Arthurs funeral home, Sault Ste. Marie, conducted by Rev. P. J. Hommerson, then by car to Manitoulin Island, where a funeral service was held from the home of her brother, Mr. Colin Campbell of Evansville, conducted by Mr. Dave Stewart . Interment was made in Gordon cemetery, with Mr. M. Williamson, funeral director, of Sault Ste. Marie in charge. Pallbearers were her six grandsons: Charlie, Frank and William Addison, Williard, James and Grant Witty.
