     Eldon Ward Salter was born on 25 March 1933 at Manitoba, Canada, son of Ories William Salter and Helen Amanda Briggs. Eldon Ward Salter married Marlene Unknown circa 1958. Eldon Ward Salter died on 18 June 2007 at Winnipeg, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, at age 74.1 He was buried circa 20 June 2007 at Oakville Cemetery, Manitoba, Canada.
     He was a plumber in 1957. He was owner Salter's Plumbing Heating in 1996.

    WARD SALTER Eldon Ward Salter passed away suddenly and peacefully on Monday, June 18, 2007, after a long and courageous battle against cancer and heart disease. He was predeceased by his parents, Orrie and Helen Salter; in-laws, Fred and Irene Ramsey, as well as brothers, Arnold and Mel Salter; sisters, Irene Brooker and Verna Trueman. Eldon leaves to mourn his loving wife of 49 years, Marlene; daughter Kimberly Ann, and son Michael Lewis, daughter-in-law Shahla and grandsons, Zayd, Ali and Shah; sisters, Doris Salter and Lois Riches; brother Orval Salter (Gerry), and sister-in-law Isabelle Salter, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends. Eldon was born in Oakville, MB on March 25, 1933. He enjoyed sports, i.e. baseball, hockey (Portage Terriers), farm team of NY Rangers, and curling. While still in his teens, he worked up north in Gillam and Churchill on the Dew Line with his brother Mel. Later, he came into Winnipeg to obtain his plumbing license, married his school-chum Marlene, and has resided in Winnipeg ever since. He worked for Randalls for over 20 years and various other plumbing companies and decided in 1996 to start his own company, Salter's Plumbing Heating. He was a caring father and a loving husband.
