     George Barnhart UEL was born circa 1743 at Ulster, New York, America, son of Johannes Bernhardt and Maria Gertraud Rau.3,4 George Barnhart UEL was baptized on 29 January 1744 at Germantown, Columbia, New York, America.5 He married Catherine Sharpston, daughter of Jacob Sharpenstein and Maria Bush, in 1768 at Mont Pelier, New York, America.1,2 George Barnhart UEL died in 1811 at Cornwall, Stormont, Ontario, Canada.
     He was a witness (an unknown value) with George Barnhart UEL. He began military service on 22 May 1780 George Barnhart UEL was jailed for helping John Butler in 1777. He joined Brant in 1778. He joined the KRRNY 2 batallion as a private and worked up to sergeant. He was 5'8" tall.6 He ended military service in 1784 at Cornwall Twp, Stormont, Ontario, Canada; George Barnhart UEL was settled first in 1782 at St. Genevieve with wife Catherine 2 boys<6 and 2 girls >6. Settled again in 1784 at Cornwall two women 3 boys>10 and 1 boy <10 and two girls >10 wife Catharina.6 He was granted land at Cornwall Twp, Stormont, Ontario, Canada as of 10 February 1806; In 1806 George Barnhart leased Barnhart Island from the St Regis Indians for 999 years.7
